Skip sits on the right of the front, with volume beside it. If the first sound grates, press until one fits. You can do it in a dark room by feel.

  1. Power, in the centre

    Press the middle button on the owl's front to start it.

  2. Sun icon, on the left

    Press it for the night light.

  3. Clock icon, on the left

    Press it to set the auto-off: 30, 60 or 90 minutes.

  4. Skip, on the right

    Press it to move to the next of the 30 sounds.

  5. Volume, on the right

    Press it to make the sound louder or quieter. Set it before lights out, since there is nothing else to control it with.

Questions before you decide

Is an owl with only buttons enough for the night?

The five buttons cover sound, volume, night light and timer, and the owl plays from its own rechargeable battery. Set it before you settle down. It cannot be started from your phone or from another room.

How do I make sure it does not play all night?

Press the clock icon and pick 30, 60 or 90 minutes. The owl stops when the time is up.

What does the cry sensor do?

When it hears crying, it starts music by itself, then shuts off after 30 minutes. Treat it as an extra. If someone is crying, go and check on them.

Where should the owl stand?

On a flat surface such as a table or shelf, out of a child's reach.

What colour does it come in?
