This wifi garden watering timer runs the hose on a schedule you set in the app, so you come home to watered beds instead of dry soil. This timer sits between the outdoor tap and your garden hose. Screw it onto the 3/4 in threaded tap with the knurled nut at the top and the body hangs straight down. The threaded outlet at the bottom takes a garden hose or a quick-connect fitting that leads to a sprinkler or a drip line, so the same unit works as a wifi drip irrigation controller for vegetable beds and greenhouse rows.

Four AA batteries go in the sealed compartment, and the timer talks to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router and the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app. Start watering from the button on the front or from the app, set an automatic schedule, or run cycle-soak mode. The valve opens, water flows through the hose to the sprinkler or drip line, and the flow stops at the time you set.

It suits home gardens, vegetable cultivation, greenhouses, farms and garden trees on a standard 3/4 in tap with water pressure between 0.03 MPa and 0.9 MPa. It is not the right choice if your tap has no 3/4 in threaded outlet, or if you have nowhere outdoors to mount it. Keep a hose or a sprinkler on the bottom outlet before you run it, and leave space beside the tap if a splitter is fitted.
