What it does

This indoor temperature humidity sensor puts the numbers on your phone, so you can check the nursery before nap time or see how humid the bathroom gets after a shower. You read temperature and humidity in the Smart Life app, and you can ask Alexa or Google Assistant for them out loud. It ships direct from China with no brand markup, so it costs less than branded sensors in local shops.

This smart temperature sensor reads the temperature and humidity in an indoor room and shows both readings in the Smart Life app. It is made for indoor spaces such as a nursery, a bedroom, a home office or a workshop. You can see what a room is like without walking into it.

Set-up depends on the version you pick. The Wi-Fi sets connect to your home network on their own. The Zigbee sets need a gateway to connect, and the options for those sets say 'need gateway'. Once it is running, you read it in the Smart Life app, and you can ask Alexa or Google Assistant for the temperature or humidity out loud.

It suits a home that already uses the Smart Life app, or one that wants readings by voice through Alexa or Google Assistant. It does not suit an outdoor space, because it is built for rooms indoors. If you do not have a gateway, choose a Wi-Fi set rather than a Zigbee set. Sets come with 1, 2, 4 or 8 sensors, so one order can cover a single problem room or several rooms at once.

  2. I have 2 of these since before, just wanted to add more sensors. Extremely power efficient. Since the end of February until now, the batteries are still at 100%. My other sensors of another brand, eat batteries like it's candy. Monday night to Wednesday day : 100% -> 62% So 2 days compared to 8 months and counting. Strongly recommended.

  3. Excellent sensor, very accurate and quickly connects to Smartlife app or Tuya app. Compared to my reference and calibrated sensor, the difference in temperature is 0.1 C and 0% in humidity. After switching on, it takes about 20 minutes for the temperature reading to stabilize.

  4. Good quality. Interval about 30 seconds. Works great in scenes. WiFi range is really weak. Works on 1.2V batteries even though it shows 0%. Measures humidity every 3%. At this price (about 19 PLN) I recommend it.
