What it does

This plug in thermostat switches a heater or cooler on and off around the temperature you set, so the room stays where you left it. No more waking up to a heater that ran all night or a room that is still cold. You set a start and a stop temperature once.

This plug in heater thermostat sits in the wall socket, and the heater's own plug goes into the socket on the front. A sensor probe on a cable about 2 m long sends the temperature to the unit. It switches the appliance on at the start (ON) temperature you set and off at the stop (OFF) temperature, so the room holds around that number. The LCD shows the measured temperature beside your settings, like 28.9 °C between a 22.0 °C start and a 29.0 °C stop.

Set-up is four buttons: MODE, SET, UP and DOWN. Use them to enter the start and stop temperatures, or the cycle-timer ON and OFF times in hours and minutes when you want the appliance to run on a schedule instead. The thermostat has to sit in the wall socket with the appliance plugged into its front. It is not meant to hang from the appliance's cable, and it does not run on batteries or a USB cable.

It suits a heater or cooling appliance that plugs into a wall socket and needs to hold a temperature or run in cycles. Choose the variant that matches your wall socket: T01-US, T01-UK, T01-EU, T01-FR or T01-AU. If you were looking for a smart thermostat outlet you can run from your phone, this one is not it: settings are made on the four buttons on the front panel.

  • Hold the room at the temperature you setPress MODE, SET, UP and DOWN to set a start (ON) temperature and a stop (OFF) temperature. The probe reads the temperature and the unit switches the plugged-in appliance to follow it. The LCD shows the reading next to your settings, like 28.9 °C between a 22.0 °C start and a 29.0 °C stop.
  • A 2 m probe reaches past the socketA black sensor cable about 2 m long leaves the side of the unit and ends in a small metal probe. That gives you enough cable to run the probe away from the wall socket to the spot you want measured, instead of guessing the temperature at the socket.
  • Set a cycle timer in hours and minutesThe same four buttons set cycle-timer ON and OFF times in hours and minutes. Use it when you want the plugged-in appliance to run in fixed periods instead of following the temperature.
  • Your appliance's plug goes straight into the frontThe thermostat takes the wall socket with its back pins, and the appliance's own plug goes into the socket on the front. That makes it a space heater thermostat plug you can leave set once the start and stop temperatures are in.
  • No batteries and no app to installIt draws power from the wall mains socket, and no battery is included because it does not run on batteries or a USB cable. Settings are made on the front panel, so there is nothing to download and no account to create.

Will it fit the socket I have?

Yes, if you pick the variant that matches your socket. T01-US is a US Type A/B 3-pin plug and socket, T01-UK is a UK 3-pin (BS 1363), T01-EU is a Schuko plug and socket, T01-FR is a French round-pin type with an earth pin, and T01-AU is an Australian angled 3-pin. The appliance plugs into the socket on the front of the unit.

Can I control it from my phone?

No. The thermostat is set with the MODE, SET, UP and DOWN buttons on its front panel. It is not controlled through a phone app.

What do I need to run it?

A wall mains socket and a heating or cooling appliance with its own plug. The unit takes power from the socket, so no battery is included and none is needed. The sensor probe is on a cable about 2 m long, already attached to the unit.

Is it hard to set?

No. Press MODE, SET, UP and DOWN to enter the start (ON) and stop (OFF) temperatures, or the cycle-timer ON and OFF times in hours and minutes. The LCD shows the measured temperature next to the values you entered.

Will it run a cooler as well as a heater?

Yes. It switches a heating or cooling appliance plugged into its front socket, following the temperature reading from the probe.
